Search Engine Optimisation is all about letting the search engines know that the pages on your website are the most relevant to a user’s search query. You can do this with a two-pronged strategy of A) content creation and B) link building.
The first thing to do is to think about what words and phrases the people in your target audience are searching for when they want to find a business like yours, and then to create relevant and valuable content around that, including those words or phrases. A good place to start is with researching your competitors.
The second thing to do is to get other, high authority websites to link to that valuable and relevant content you’ve created, because this shows the search engines that other people think your content is relevant and valuable too.
This is not something you can set and forget - it's an ongoing process of competing with other websites for the top spots in search engine results.
